Our Priorities

In the academic year 2019 - 2020,  the school are working towards the following targets: 

The priorities for the School Development Plan for September 2019 to July 2020 have been identified from:

  • Key issues from the latest OFSTED Inspection in June 2019
  • The Every Child Matters publication i.e. every child has a right to be healthy, be safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic wellbeing.
  • Analysis of Target Tracker performance data and our most recent national data results
  • Consultation and discussion with staff, pupils, governors, and parents
  • Local and national initiatives

Priority 1: Improve the quality of leadership and management by ensuring that the impact of new initiatives is monitored closely and, where necessary, changed or adapted rapidly to ensure pupil outcomes and progress are improved 

Priority 2: To ensure the quality of teaching is consistently strong across the school to ensure outcomes at all stages are at least at national levels

Priority 3: To ensure provision in early years is consistently excellent so that our children are ready for their next stage of education. 

Priority 4: for the curriculum provision to be broad and balanced, with a strong focus on oracy and vocabulary, defined by clear intent, implementation and impact. 

Priority 5: To continue to raise the standards in reading and writing and embed phonics teaching across the Key Stages in order to achieve FFT targets
