Relationships Education

As part of your child's educational experience, we are committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of our pupils. In our diverse society, children need to develop an understanding of themselves, others and their community and how we can work together in harmony. They also need to know how to maintain healthy lifestyles and relationships with others.

As you may already be aware, the Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education following nationwide consultation. These changes will come into effect from September 2020 and all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements.

Queens Park Academy, Westfield Primary, Community governors and local faith groups and leaders have been working together to ensure that the relationships education that we provide in our schools is suitable for our community. Details of our curriculum and the School policy can be found below.
